The Voice of Nature - 2024

Every breath, every flap of a bird's wings, every soft murmur of a stream, every majestic mountain - they are all part of the indelible bond that connects us with nature. The series imagines a world in which plants and feathers are able to express feelings. This opens up the possibility of a dialogue and a connection between nature and man that goes beyond linguistic communication. The botanical material that I immortalize in my work tells stories of resilience, vulnerability and transformation. They are silent observers of a world that we often do not perceive, but which nevertheless enters into a relationship with us at every moment.
I am particularly interested in the plants on the edge of the familiar, which often go unnoticed, but in their silent existence tell a profound story of life and death, of change and permanence. The work themes the ambivalence of transience and eternity in nature, as manifested in the constantly changing forms of clouds. At the same time, the shape of the clouds is influenced by human activity.

The cyanotype technique has been part of my artistic practice for many years now, far more than just a technique; for me personally it is an act of listening and dialogue. The chemical reaction between the materials and the sunlight results in unique images, characterized by sunlight, which reflect the constant change and timelessness of nature. They are the result of an interplay between light, shadow and time that explores the transience of existence. Coating the paper, placing the objects and waiting for the image to unfold under the influence of the sun, washing and caring for it - all this reminds me of a metaphorical journey that reflects the rhythm of nature and time.
