Constructed Space - Prison
These are places where time seems to stand still, frozen in a moment that eludes the natural flow of change. In this stillness, our gaze is focussed on the detail and we are invited to rethink the construction of reality and perception. My artistic approach is based on the idea of staging - a deliberate creation of environments that either mimic reality or subtly distort it. These artificial spaces confront us with their own constructed nature and invite us to question the boundaries between the real and the imaginary. They offer a space in which the distinction between truth and fiction is dissolved to enable a conscious play with perception. In this context, the camera becomes an active tool that does more than just record objective reality. It becomes a means of exploration and scrutinises the physical and conceptual spaces we inhabit. The aim is not only to document what is visible, but also to reveal the artificiality of these spaces. Every object, every arrangement in the picture becomes part of a larger game - a performance in which the elements depicted not only form a scene, but also influence the mood and atmosphere that challenge our understanding of reality.
